R2D2 Valentine Box My boys are still on a Star Wars kick so I knew that a R2D2 Valentine box would go over very well!  Plus, my 7-year-old can’t wait to use this as an R2D2 garbage can in his room when Valentine’s Day is over. One thing that I struggle with as a mom is figuring out how to juggle all of the different types of activities that my family is involved in each week.  I always thought the baby years would be the hardest as a mom, but now I’m finding that having older kids brings its own challenges. Since most nights we are on-the-go with sports, scouts, music lessons, etc, I really try to make our weekends a time where we can get a break and just have fun as a family. Family Fun Hedbanz™ Electronic We have family night every week where we talk about how our week has gone and just enjoy spending time together.  We typically end our family night with an activity and we love playing games together! Gratitude Pumpkins

By | November 7th, 2016|Categories: Crafts/Activities, For the Boys, Fun Friday, Holidays, Thanksgiving|Tags: , , , |

I love that Thanksgiving is a holiday that doesn’t require gifts and extra things.  It is simply a time to reflect on and be grateful for the things that we have.  These Gratitude Pumpkins are a great craft to help kids remember to be thankful for the things that they have. Gratitude Pumpkins I’ll admit that Christmastime is my favorite time of the year.  I love the music, the smells, the treats and the general feeling that comes with the season. As much as I love Christmas,  I also love that we have a holiday that is solely based on giving gratitude for the many blessings that we have and I want my children to take the time to recognize that they have so much to be thankful for before they start making lists of toys and treats that they hope to see on Christmas morning. If you are looking for a DIY LEGO Table, this is easy to make! DIY LEGO Table […]

By | October 20th, 2016|Categories: Crafts/Activities|Tags: , , , , |

I am always on the lookout for fun products that my kids can use to create things.  Did you know that you can buy Eraser clay? I had no idea! You can use eraser clay to make any sort of eraser you want, but we love these Monster Erasers! Monster Erasers My boys are always wanting to buy fun pencils, pencil toppers or other miscellaneous school supplies from their student store.  Most everything is a rip-off, slightly overpriced ;),  so I thought it would be fun to show how to make your own pencil toppers using eraser clay.  You really could make any design under the sun, but these monster erasers just seemed like something my boys would like. […]
