I myself am disabled. I honestly have not had a mom’s night out in many years. I do not get the opportunity to self-care. No complaints at all… I just would like to feel a bit special and be able to win this, I would never be able to afford it on my own. It’s important to self-care as parents, caregivers, or for any woman of any age and circumstance. We are natural nurturers, but I do know that it’s easy to fall into the trap of not nurturing ourselves as women. The ‘true life’ of parenting/mothering is what touched my spirit. Our first child was born 23 years ago…with a sibling added every other year for 19 years. Five daughters and four sons are a blessing, but sometimes you just need to laugh or life can get entirely too serious!!
