In reply to <a href="https://thejoysofboys.com/monday-motivationcelebrating-our-differences-as-mothers/#comment-1940">Aprille</a>.

Thanks Aprille. And you are right, being able to look past our differences and just being supportive of one another is the most important thing. Being a mom is just hard and there is no "right" way for everything that will work for every baby or child. I stay away from those types of groups and discussions as well. Things get too ugly, too fast. It actually surprises me that women can be so mean to each other.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. :)

I love this post. I got very worked up about things like natural parenting, birthing, and breastfeeding when I was pregnant and a brand new mom, but having a child who still isn't a good sleeper and has done so many things that have made it impossible to do the "right thing"...I've had to throw a lot of it out the window and just do what works, no matter who or what says it's right or best. I stopped following all the blogs and pages that promoted certain styles of parenting because I was tired of feeling guilty and judged all the time.

Now I'm much more relaxed and try to avoid mommy wars at all costs. I have so many close friends who formula feed and do other things that I don't, but we have been able to transcend those differences and just enjoy being mommies anyway.

I agree. All of my friends are very different in the ways that they are raising their children but I feel that each of them is a wonderful mother and knows what is best for their kids. We just need to support each other and do the best that we can do.

This is a hard subject because you are right, everyone has their own opionion. Bottom line is that each child is so unique and different and you have to trust in each mother that they are striving to do what is best for their child. From the outside, you may think you know what their child needs, but there is a lot going on behind the scenes that we don't know about or understand. Each mother is given mother's intuition and I feel like it is important to realize they are more than likely doing what they sincerely feel is best for their child.
