Oh, you are a lifesaver, This evening my friend gave me a tray like you show and I was wondering what to do with it. I will be making one of these, It will be a great item to put in my booth for Santa to take to some lucky child.

In reply to <a href="https://thejoysofboys.com/diy-lego-table/#comment-478385">Ashley B</a>.

Hi Ashley, We used the 10X10 base plates. I've updated the post to link to the ones we used, but any 10X10 base plates will work. ALso, the gaps are there because that was the space it took to be able to connect LEGO across the plates. So you will want to use some LEGO pieces to hold the plates in place across the gap while the glue dries so that your kids can place LEGO anywhere on the table. If the gap isn't right, then they might not be able to attach to the table. I hope that makes sense!! Good luck!

What size Lego base plates did you use for this? There are 10x10 and 15x15 on Amazon. We are making two for our boys. Also the small little gaps between the base plates in the pictures are those still there once you glue it on the table. I jist wanna make sure I don't mess them up Lol
