I received a copy of A Year with Six Sisters’ Stuff to facilitate my review but all opinions are 100% my own.
A Year with Six Sisters’ Stuff
“A Year with Six Sisters’ Stuff: 52 Menu Plans, Recipes, and Ideas to Bring Families Together”
by Six Sisters’ Stuff
Publisher: Shadow Mountain
Release Date: March 25, 2014
I was very excited to see that Six Sisters’ Stuff was coming out with a second cookbook. I have really loved their down-to-earth approach to cooking and the fact that their first cookbook had so many recipes that I could easily make and that my family would actually eat! A Year with Six Sisters’ Stuff didn’t let me down and made putting together meals easier by including 52 menu plans including a main course, side and even dessert. And most of the recipes can be made with ingredients I already have in my pantry so that is a major plus.
I had my boys go through the cookbook and choose out a meal plan that they would like to try. My oldest chose out menu #15 which included Slow Cooker Eight-Can Taco Soup, Homemade Breadsticks and Fudgy Brownies. Other favorites included menu # 22 with Monterey Chicken, Honey-Lime Fruit Salad and Graham Cracker Monster Cookies and menu # 38 which included Marinated Steak Shish Kebabs, Ranch Roasted Potatoes and Layered Peanut Butter Brownies.
And while thumbing through the book, of course they stopped on pages like this one below. That M&M’s Cookie Pie had me wanting to give up my diet just for a day. 🙂
Personally I loved the Honey BBQ Meatloaf with Creamy Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes and Butterfinger Blondies for dessert. Yum! We also tried Creamy Chicken Lasagna, Cheesy Garlic Texas Toast and Caesar Salad Supreme.
A Year with Six Sisters’ Stuff also includes fun family traditions, activities to bring the family together and shopping lists to build up your pantry and food storage and would make a great addition to any kitchen.
And, I’m excited to announce that the publisher is giving away 10 copies of this book as part of the book tour. Enter below for your chance to snag a copy of your own. If you are the winner the publisher will contact you and ship you your prize. Good luck!
