Those who have been following along with me for awhile now (thank you) know that we have a slight obsession with Angry Birds. Last night my boys begged for a cousin sleepover and what is the perfect breakfast for a group of hungry little boys? Angry Birds waffles!
I’ve mentioned before that I love using fruit to decorate my boy’s breakfast foods into different things because they always end up eating the fruit first. I’m sneaky like that. 😉 And these were no exception. Strawberries…gone!
How to Make Angry Birds Waffles
If you’re like me, you don’t have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. People ask me how I find the time to do things like this but in all honesty, I keep things super simple. I’ve found that you can decorate pretty much any breakfast item with berries, bananas and chocolate chips.
These were easy! I already had some cut up strawberries so as the waffles were coming off the waffle iron, I threw on the strawberies, sliced some bananas and added the chocolate chips for eyes and eyebrows. Then cut up a small orange for the mouth. There really isn’t much more explanation needed than that. Simple, just how I like it.
And there you have it!
To say that this little boy was excited for his food would be the understatement of the century. Just look at that smile. 🙂
