Teething is the worst! Baby is miserable. Mommy just wants to help (and get some sleep) but it can be hard to know what to do. Here are some baby teething remedies that actually work.
Baby Teething Remedies that Actually Work
Unfortunately, teething is the “one thing” every parent is guaranteed to go through. All babies get teeth at some point or another. Teething makes most babies not very pleasant to be around and parents will do anything to help. No parent wants to see their baby in pain!
Over the years of raising babies, I used a variety of products to help my babies with teething and there are several things that can help to ease the pain.
Baby Teething Remedies
Amber Teething Necklace
With my youngest, I was told by many friends to get an Amber teething necklace and it worked WONDERS!! You do need to be careful to purchase a necklace that is of good quality and keep an eye on your baby while they wear one, but for my youngest, it worked!

Biter Biscuits
We also loved the Biter Bicuits, but you need to make sure that you watch your child closely so that they don’t break off a bigger piece of their cooking.
Teething Toys
There are so many cute teething toys available now to give babies. I love Sophie the Giraffe. So cute! But any teething toy will do if your baby likes it.
And I LOVE these handmade teething toys. Handmade is always cuter!
Teething Jewelry
I didn’t see teething jewelry until after my youngest was done teething, but what a fun concept. Babies are always tugging on our jewelry anyways, so having a necklace that can help with teething and is safe for chewing is pretty neat.

Using mom’s finger
When you’re out and about the only thing you have is a finger, it works wonders for teething!
Cold wash cloth
Letting baby chew on a cold/frozen wash cloth seems to help them calm down from teething.
Anything frozen really
If it is safe for baby, using anything frozen can be a quick solution to helping with teething in babies. Put the food in a fresh fruit feeder so they can’t break big pieces off.
I asked the moms in our Moms of Boys community what their best tips to help with teething. Some of the moms had products that helped with teething and other moms had tips!
Jess M.: Making breastmilk ice cream, cold flannels, teething gel, wooden tethers!
Lauren D.: Suggested this awesome Baby Banana Training Toothbrush and Teether and this awesome Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicle Frozen Pop Tray!
Brandy S.: I froze jello and put it in his fresh fruit feeders and it worked amazing.
Andréanne P: Sophie the Giraffe was a favorite for my son, the smaller one and then the bigger one. The amber necklace seemed to work but I only put it on when he was awake and I was supervising constantly. The boob as comfort and anything to distract, like going outside or new things to do really helped. Now he is 18 months and teething so bad, his molars and side teeth are coming in. I supervise him with it, but the best thing that’s worked so far (he’s not into teethers anymore) is giving him an apple. He loves to chew it and has enough teeth to handle biting it and the skin. When he gets a big chunk and is having a tough time with the skin, he takes it out and puts it in my hand.P But it’s been working wonders, just be sure to always be nearby and to not let them get too excited at play while chewing.
