Last week my 4-year-old had his preschool graduation ceremony, complete with a cap and gown. I think it was pretty much the cutest thing ever to see all of those little kiddos in their graduating attire as they performed some of the songs they had been working on this year. To celebrate afterwards, we made these little candy graduation hats.
My 4-year-old was VERY hands-on in helping with these so they don’t look too professional but we had a great time making them.
Supplies needed for Candy Graduation Hats:
There are many different options you could use for candy. We used Reese’s peanut butter cups miniature and we also tried out Rolo candy for the base of the hat. I guess it just depends on if you like peanut butter and chocolate or caramel and chocolate better. 🙂
We found little mint chocolates for the hat brims and Pull ‘n Peel licorice for the tassels. Then we added a mini-M&M to the top. We stuck everything together with a little dab of frosting.
They were easy enough for a 4 year old to make and my boys were so excited to get home from the graduation to have these little treats.
School will be out for my big boys next week and we can’t wait to get our summertime fun started!
