Minecraft Snowflakes

If your boys are like mine, Minecraft is one of the only things they talk about.  It is a HUGE deal in our house so naturally Minecraft Snowflakes would be a big hit.   Minecraft Snowflakes You know, I have a confession to make.  I really don’t know all that much about Minecraft.  I know, major boy-mom fail!! But the one thing that I do know is that my boys would play and build on Minecraft 24 hours/day every single day of the week if I let them and a big portion of our conversations revolve around Minecraft.  And I love that Minecraft is a great way for them to use their imaginations and build some pretty amazing things.  When I came across this Minecraft Snowflakes tutorial, I knew that we had to make them! Christmas Cupcakes: Santa and Reindeer

Christmas Cupcakes Today is the last day of school before Christmas and that means it is the day for class parties.  I was asked to bring in some cupcakes and these Christmas cupcakes turned out so cute!  I want to save one for myself. 🙂  As always, my life is ridiculously busy and just like anyone else, I’m ready for my long winter’s nap, but I still wanted to make something that was cute for my son’s class.  These Santa and Reindeer cupcakes were simple to decorate.  Exactly how I like things! Christmas Tree French Toast: Easy Christmas Breakfast

Christmas Tree French Toast Last year I shared some of our family Christmas traditions and one of those traditions includes making Christmas Tree French Toast every year for Christmas morning breakfast.    My boys love this because it is fun to eat and I love it because it is simple to make and doesn’t take any additional prep time than just French toast and sausage alone.  Christmas morning is a time to relax and have fun with the kids, not slave away in the kitchen. This is really self-explanatory but I have learned a few things over the years that make these even easier to make.  You want to try and use Texas toast (No, not the garlic bread kind 😉 ) because it is fat and pretty much square.  You can typically find it with the other bread in your grocery store although my local store doesn’t always carry it.  If you can’t find it then try to find a brand, like Wonder Bread that is still fairly square. 8 Simple Ways for Kids to Keep Christ in Christmas

8 Ways to Keep Christ in Christmas I love Christmastime!  It has always been my favorite time of the year.  There is just a feeling in the air that makes me feel peaceful and happy.   I love the sights, smells and how my kids light up at every little thing that has to do with Christmas.  And more than anything I love that the holiday season gives me a chance to think about the true meaning of Christmas, which is the birth and life of Jesus Christ.  As much as I love Santa Clause and the spirit of giving this time of year, I want my boys to understand that Christmas is about so much more than treats and new toys and here I’ve listed 8 of our simple family traditions that help my kids to keep Christ in Christmas.
