Yoplait Greek Taste-Off: Yoplait vs Chobani
One of my biggest challenges, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this, is getting my kids to eat healthy. I’ve been trying to convince them to try Greek yogurt for some time now but I have failed every time. I love that Greek yogurt is high in protein and that is something my boys need because they are constantly hungry. When I had the chance to participate in the Yoplait Greek Taste-Off Challenge, I jumped at the opportunity to find out which is the best Greek yogurt.I took the challenge to compare Yoplait Greek Blueberry to Chobani Blueberry Fruit on the Bottom. The first thing I noticed when I opened the yogurts was that the Yoplait just looked better. I’m kind of picky when it comes to the look and textures of foods so just by looks, I personally would have preferred to try the Yoplait.
I had the idea to do a blind taste test for my family and it worked out perfectly because my parents were in town as well. I mixed up the yogurts and put them into two bowls labeled A and B and I didn’t tell them which was which.
Just by looking at the two yogurts you can tell that A has more actual fruit and that in B the fruit is more blended into smaller pieces. So if you prefer large pieces of fruit, in this case whole blueberries, A would probably be preferred. If you don’t, than B would be a better choice.
So I put my family to the test. They each had a small sampling of each flavor of yogurt.
And these were their responses for A:
- It just looks better
- It is creamier and tastes better
- The flavor is better
- I’ll buy this kind
- It has more blueberries
- I heard someone go Mmmm while eating it.
Their responses for B:
- It’s not very sweet
- There isn’t a lot of fruit
I put my 5-year-old to the ultimate test because he is the epitome of a picky eater and when I asked him which yogurt he liked better, he said, “The Blueberry one.” I asked him which one was the Blueberry one and he pointed to A, so apparently B didn’t taste like blueberries to him.
So “A” was the overall winner, but which yogurt was it?
The Yoplait won by a landslide and we’ll definitely be buying it again. Take the Yoplait Greek Taste-Off Challenge and let me know what you think.
Try the better tasting Greek! In a national taste test, Yoplait® Greek Blueberry Beat Chobani® Blueberry Fruit On The Bottom. I want to thank Yoplait for sponsoring today’s #TasteOff and allowing me to openly express my honest opinion.

This is a great post. My boys love yogurt but we’ve never had the Yoplait. Sounds like something we need to try! 🙂

Definitely! I’ve always struggled to find a Greek yogurt that I really like but I ended up buying a case of this at Sam’s Club. 🙂
You made me want to get some blueberry youghurt right now. Too bad they don’t have it in Ecuador 🙁 I’ll have to wait then, sigh.
I hear you on trying to get the boys to eat healthy stuff! I try to sneak switch greek yogurt for regular and they haven’t been fooled :/ Gotta try this one!
Sky, let me know how it works! My 5-year-old is the pickiest eater I have and he loved these. Good luck!!
Yoplait was the winner here too! So much fun!
Vicky it was so much fun! I loved the look on my 5-year-old’s face as he tried both yogurts. The anticipation was killing him. 🙂
If we took the test Yoplait would have definately been our choice! Great post!
Thanks Maggie! I have always had a love/hate relationship with Greek yogurt so I am excited to have one that I actually like and not just tolerate. 🙂
As one of the participants, I can truly say that the test was conducted as scientifically as possible. The results were hard to deny. Yoplait was by far superior in every way. In fact the next day we bought some for ourselves.
