Groundhog Day Pancakes
Groundhog day is just around the corner when Punxsutawney Phil will pop up his head and tell us if we should stick with our boots and sweaters or pull out the flip flops. (Well, luckily I’ve already got the flip flops out, but most people in the country aren’t so lucky.)
Yesterday was just one of those days where breakfast-for-dinner just seemed like the best and only option around here. My husband never likes that idea but sometimes he just doesn’t have a choice. 🙂 These little guys were made with pancakes for cheeks, chocolate chips and marshmallows for eyes, chocolate chips for the nose and bananas for ears.
Then I sprinkled the plate with cinnamon sugar to represent his dirty home.
I’m ready for sunny weather! What about you? Do you hope for 6 more weeks of summer or 6 more weeks of winter? I think I know the answer to that. 😉

Kara,
I think those pancakes are the cutest that I have ever seen! I grew up with Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes and thought my mom was super cool… you may now take the prize! I’m enjoying reading back posts of your blog. Thanks so much for sharing!
Maggie
Maggie you are so sweet! Thanks so much. My dad used to do amazing things with pancakes and I’m not quite that talented but working on it. I remember my sister getting ballerinas and other things. I always requested Mickey Mouse. 😉
