Petz Beach Game: Boy Approved

Have you started your Holiday shopping yet??  I’m just barely getting started but I’m finding that the number one thing on my boys’ wishlists is video games.   Petz Beach is one of the latest Nintendo 3DS games from Ubisoft and is being released just in time for the holidays and is the perfect gift if your kids love animals and video games as much as mine do. .

 

One of my favorite things about my boys is how much fun they have had over the years playing with their stuffed animals.  When my oldest boys were little, they would spend hours playing with their animals, especially their stuffed dogs.  Now they have passed those same animals on to my youngest boys who love to play with them.  And we have quite the collection of critters, especially dogs!

Even though my older boys no longer play with stuffed animals, they still love animals and of course video games. Petz Beach combines the two in an interactive Nintendo 3DS game  in which players can take care of their own pets and go on fun and interactive quests that allow them to expand their village and connect with other Petz owners.

I have laughed with my boys as they have given their dogs funny and unique names and taken them on fun adventures.  There are actually more than 50 different animals that players can interact with from dogs and cats to whales and dolphins to so there is definitely something for every kid. And I love that the game changes with the seasons so it is fun to play all year round!

 

Petz Beach has also partnered up with Encyclopaedia Britannica to incorporate learning into the game.  I love that kids can be playing a game and not even realize that they are doing something educational.  As kids care for their pets and complete missions they receive fun facts about animals, insects and plants.  Love it!  I always feel better about purchasing games for my boys if I know that they will be learning something as they play.

Petz Beach is one of two new Nintendo 3DS Petz games being released just in time for the holidays.  Petz Countryside is also being released at the same time with the same fun experience in a different environment.
