This week I am participating in the Ultimate Blog Party as a way to meet up with some new and fabulous bloggers.
If you are here because of the party, welcome!
Let me tell you a bit about me and my blog. 🙂
I’m a mom of 4 boys, which also makes me a nurse, referee, taxi driver, teacher, party planner, story teller, barber, dietician, baker, ATM, maid, personal shopper, jungle gym, coach, puppeteer, motivator and negotiator. Oh, and don’t forget bummy wiper which is a job I will gladly give to anyone who wants it. Any takers?
When I get a moment to myself (ha, ha, that’s a good one) I like to sing, play the piano and guitar and relax with a good book.
Having four boys has made me realize that life doesn’t always go as planned, children don’t always act the way we would hope and houses definitely do not stay put together for very long.
But, I’ve learned over the years that spontaneity can be fun, children’s mood swings can lead to patient mommies (I’ve learned that one the hard way) and messy houses can be a sign of memories in the making (at least that’s what I keep telling myself).
I started this blog as a way to share ideas designed just for boys. I share stories of my crazy life in a house full of boys as well as crafts, activities, fun food, party ideas, science projects, etc. And I throw in a bit of inspiration for moms because, let’s face it, raising busy, noisy, energetic boys can be a bit overwhelming.

Also, if you are a mom of boy(s) join us in our Facebook group Moms of Boys. Or if you are a mom of boy(s) who is also working to grow a blog, come on over to the group Mom Bloggers of Boys. Hope to see you there!

Hi there Kara – found you through the UBP2013. My sister and I co-blog and I have three boys and she has one. I see you have some angry bird fans in your family – same here. I love your post on What Moms of Boys Know. All very true 🙂

yay for moms – and boy moms!
coming over from UBP! pregnant with my first, and hes a boy! i cant wait.
I am a mom to a boy and I just love it! I cannot imagine having 4 boys, my hat goes off to you sister. Love that you blog about things to do for boys. There are too many girly crafts out there and it’s hard enough to get a boy to craft in the first place. Visiting you from UBP.

I love finding boy moms! Yes, 4 is a lot of work. 😉 And I totally agree that there isn’t a lot out there for boys. That was ultimately why I started this whole adventure in blogging. Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you for coming by!
