Each of my boys has gone through a phase of complete obsession with dinosaurs. We have spent our days planning dinosaur birthday parties and visiting dinosaur museums. Also, over the years we have collected or inherited just about every type of dinosaur toy imaginable. So when I was given the opportunity to receive the new Zoomer Dino from Spin Master and do a Zoomer Dino Review, I knew my boys were in for a huge treat.
Zoomer Dino Review
From the minute we opened the box, my boys were hooked. And I’ll admin that I was really impressed with all of the capabilities that this dinosaur has. Boomer the dinosaur is so fun! The Zoomer Dino is different than any other dinosaur or remote control toy that we have because he is so interactive and can detect when you are nearby and if you are interacting with him.
My boys had a fun time taming their dinosaur and it was so cute to watch them pet him and see how he interacted. His eyes turned green when he was happy and they could get him to sit and speak just by the way they waved their hands over his nose.
But just like any prehistoric beast, his mood can change quickly. We have a two-year-old in the house and quickly learned that if you pull his tail or shake his head then his eyes turn red and he can get MAD! He whips around and lets our a roar of anger and might even try to chase you down. But, don’t let him fool you, if you are nice and gentle with him he will calm back down and may even purr for you.
And of course, what boy wouldn’t love a dinosaur that can not only chomps and roars, but that burps and farts. Many, many laughs have been made over Boomer’s behaviors.
Zoomer Dino is one of the best and most innovative toys I have seen in years, and with 4 boys, we go through a lot of toys. We don’t have any pets so I love that my boys can train and interact with this dinosaur in such a realistic way and that they are learning scientific techniques including exploration, curiosity, imagination and even bravery. It took my 2-year-old a few hours before he dared to come into the room with Boomer. We have spent hours together as a family getting the hang of taming our dinosaur and trying not to make him angry.

My boys would love that! They always like anything remote control, and when it looks like it can change moods and be almost like a pet, those are additional perks!
