Do you ever get the feeling that someone is watching you? You will when you make these Eyeball Pancakes for your Halloween breakfast.
Eyeball Pancakes
Fun holiday food does not have to be difficult to make or take hours. I think that is why I love to make fun holiday breakfasts with my boys. These Eyeball pancakes take just a couple of minutes to mix up and will turn an ordinary breakfast into a creepy-cool Halloween breakfast in no time at all.
How to Make Eyeball Pancakes
You make Eyeball pancakes just like you would any other pancakes but add a few extra ingredients to make them worthy of a Halloween breakfast.
Ingredients Needed to Make Eyeball Pancakes
- Your favorite pancake batter
- Fresh Kiwi
- Blueberries
- Strawberry Preserves or Jam. (I used Smucker’s Squeeze Strawberry Fruit Spread
)
These are easy to make and I love that they add extra fruit to breakfast! My kids will eat anything that is presented in a fun way. (Not sure if that is a good thing or not. 😉 )
Step 1. Mix up your favorite pancake batter recipe and cook round pancakes on a griddle.
Step 2. Slice the kiwi into thin slices.
Step 3. Add the kiwi to the pancake and place a blueberry in the center of the kiwi to make the pupil.
Step 4. Draw on veins with the strawberry fruit spread. Your kids will love it if you let them do this step by themselves.
You can even serve a couple of pancakes together and make a fun pancake face. Let your kids get creative and you will love what they come up with.
Halloween is my favorite time of year for creating fun food with my kids. Making dishes like these Eyeball Pancakes gets them excited to be in the kitchen and learning new things.
