I am on a personal mission to take back family time in my home.  It seems as though our family is constantly being pulled in 1,000 different directions and life can become quite chaotic.  My husband travels a lot for work and my boys are very active with sports, music lessons and scouts. As a family, we try to have at least one night per week where we are home together and unplugged. My boys love having family game night and my oldest boys just discovered how fun trivia games can be.

We have started adding to our collection of trivia games, and here are 10 Trivia Games that are clean and fun for the entire family to enjoy. Post includes affiliate links.

1- Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

I received a copy of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? from Hasbro and my boys love it.  If you have seen the television show, the game is very similar. Players get the chance to answer questions based on topic and elementary school grade level.  If they are unsure of an answer, they can Peek or Copy another players answer.  As players get the questions right, they move up the board towards the 1 Million dollar question. Plus, there is a “save” card so if you miss a question you can still stay in the running for the Million dollars.

I love that there are questions related to Geography, Math, History, Science and more and kids can learn new things while having fun. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is recommended for kids ages 8 and up, although my 7 year old loves playing with a little help from mom and dad and you can play as teams, which make it easy to include everyone in the family.

2-Trivial Pursuit Family Edition Game

 

Trivial Pursuit Family Edition Game is a fun trivia game that has 1,200 questions for kids and adults so the entire family can get in on the trivia fun.  The kids questions are based on information kids would know today and the adult questions are closer to the questions found in the classic Trivial pursuit game.  We also love Trivial Pursuit Disney Edition and Trivial Pursuit World of Harry Potter Edition
.  Recommended for ages 8+.

3.Beat The Parents Board Game

Beat The Parents Board Game is a fun trivia game in which adults answer questions about kids stuff and kids answer questions that their parents should know. Every family can use a little friendly competition. Recommended for ages 6+.

4.Brain Quest Smart Game

 Brain Quest Smart Game makes learning fun, as kids race to answer age-appropriate questions from their own grade level.  The winner is the first to spell SMART by correctly answering a question in each category: Science, Math, Art, Reading and The World.  Recommended for ages 6-12.

5. Professor Noggin’s Trivia Games

Professor Noggin’s Trivia Games are themed with 180 questions based on one subject such as Presidents of the United States, Geography of Canada, Pets, Wildlife of North America and many more. The game play is the same for each title and it’s easy to play the game right out of the box, which makes collecting different titles simple and fun.
There are two levels of difficulty so younger children can still play with older siblings or adults and have a lot of fun. There are now 38 different topics to choose from and they are recommended for ages 7+.

6. Scene it?

Scene it? trivia games brings game night to life with scenes and images from your favorite movies.  There are a variety of different themes to choose from for all different age groups.  We love Scene It? Disney Edition and think that Harry Potter Scene it?  and Scene it? Deluxe Marvel Edition look awesome!  I think I need to add them to our game collection!

7. American Trivia Family Edition Board Game

American Trivia Family Edition is a fun game full of American History.  Players race across the USA answering questions along the way.  This game makes learning history fun! Ages 9+

8. Numaro – The Trivia Game Where You Don’t Have to Know the Exact Answer

Numaro is the trivia game where you don’t have to know the exact answer!  Have you ever played a trivia game with a trivia genius?  In this game, nobody feels left out because the person with the closest answer wins. With no pressure to know the exact answer, NUMARO creates a relaxed atmosphere of interaction and laughter.

9. Pictopia-Family Trivia Game: Disney Edition

If you love Disney, then you will love Disney Pictopia. You will answer questions from Disney movies as well as Disney parks. Geared towards ages 7+ but I’m sure with a little help, younger Disney fans could get in on the action.

10. Wise Alec Family Trivia Game

Wise Alec has over 1000 questions in History, Science and Spelling from elementary school curricula.   Wise Alec cards get everyone going with tongue twisters, brain teasers, activities that promote good manners and get your heart going.  Recommended for ages 8+ but can be adapted for younger players.
