I didn’t use any special kind. Just a regular spray but the. You di need to make sure the baking soda is dissolved before trying to spray it. Another thing you can try is just put the baking soda out on the mattress and then just spray the vinegar on it.

My son is now 3 years old and we have done a bunch of mom/son dates over the years. Our very first one happened in 2017 when I took him to a local park one day and took some photos of him sitting in his pram, he was seven months old at the time. More recently we ventured out of the house further afield just before Christmas last year. I took him out for a long overdue hair cut at a local salon, then we paid a visit to the library to see the children’s books and borrow some. Next, we stopped at a shop in Epsom and I let him buy a new game and toys before lunch. Lunch was at a local cafe before we walked home Thanks for the reminder I need to plan another mom/son trip soon before April comes.

It would be better with some type of dough. Do you have frozen dough there? I’m afraid the puff pastry wouldn’t hold together over the fire, but I could definitely be wrong. We’ll have to experiment. 🙂

I’m a bit confused by your comment and wondering if you read the article. There is an entire section on teaching your children what pornography is and what to do when they see it.

Wouldn’t it be better to teach your kids what pornography is and how to deal with it than just trying to avoid the situation? I think the kids (Teens) should learn how to deal with it mentally.. further I think trying to hide it away from your child will not help in the long run because then when it gets confronted with pornography later on it doesn’t know how it should deal with it

We have used charcoal soap and that has helped. There are a few different brands you can find. Also, I make sure that my boys have deodorant to use at school after PE and that they shower every night. If it persists, I would talk to a doctor. There are medical reason people have body odor as well. Good luck!

I am wondering if you have ever heard of cinnamon insoles? A friend of mine from abroad uses them for her boys, since they have terrible foot odor. They smell really wonderful and due to the cinnamon essential oil the foot odor bacteria get killed. I think you can buy them online. I would recommend them to get rid of those stinky boys feet haha.

Each of these activities was shared with me from a different blogger. You just click on the links and it will take you to their site where you can get the instructions.

Fruity Pebbles is a type of cereal. It can be called other things as well, but that is the name brand.

You would actually have to check with the park and see if they even allow kids that young into the narrows. You have to have a permit to hike it. But the River walk trail that ends at the river is actually the beginning of the Narrows trail. I love that hike because the kids can play in the water and it is a paved trail so really easy for kids. I also really like the Emerald pools hike with kids because it takes you behind a waterfall which is fun. It is paved part of the way and then it gets a little more difficult but I wouldn’t say it is too challenging for a child your son’s age. You could always just turn around if it gets too difficult. If you decide to hike Emerald pools, take a right at the first fork in the road. It is all one big loop but if you go right you get to the waterfall quickly and then you could decide if you want to keep going. Another fun one is the Weeping Rock trail. It is short, but a bit steep. It takes you up to a big rock that hangs over the trail. My boys love to take pictures as if they are holding it up.
Zion is one of my favorite places on earth but it does get exhausting for kids after awhile. If you are staying for a few days, I would probably just plan one hike/day or at least plan breaks in between. Hope you have a great vacation!

I’d add a busyboard, surely! It’s comparably easy and makes a BIG present. My son goes bananas about them. Ever since he was 1yo. Now he is five and still a fan, though the games are much more intricate. Now he would make a system pulley ropes around the elements and inhabit the board with his lego men. Btw, if you have siblings, you can make a tandem model so no one gets hurt 😀

We are in the middle of a move and I can’t believe the crazy things I have found that they have collected. lol! Little hoarders!

There are some really fun toys on the list! They get played with constantly at our house.

The liquid will just dry. I let it air out for a day or so and then vacuum the baking soda up if there is a lot left over. But it works wonders! I’ve been so surprised at how it took out stains that had been there for years and that I had scrubbed and scrubbed with no result. Good luck!

Hi Ashley, We used the 10X10 base plates. I’ve updated the post to link to the ones we used, but any 10X10 base plates will work. ALso, the gaps are there because that was the space it took to be able to connect LEGO across the plates. So you will want to use some LEGO pieces to hold the plates in place across the gap while the glue dries so that your kids can place LEGO anywhere on the table. If the gap isn’t right, then they might not be able to attach to the table. I hope that makes sense!! Good luck!

Yes! I had one with one of my boys and I think I used it a couple of times and then it was too much of a hassle.

Example: Girl has sex at age 14. She’s a slut. She’s in trouble with mom and dad.
Boy has sex at age 14. Mom freaks out. Dad and grandma say, “Boys will be boys.”

Example: Boy gets angry and punches a hole in the wall. Boys will be boys.
Boys get into fist fights. Boys will be boys.

I saw them at our local hardware store, but I used 3/4″ pvc pipe. You can cut it with a hacksaw (or an electric saw). We used 18 or 24″ concrete rebars (from Lowes) pounded into the ground with a rubber mallet, then just slip the pvc pipe over the rebar.

I actually went to the bakery at our grocery store and a lot of them will sell sprinkles in bulk.

1. Bring an extra pair of clothes for everyone in a carry-on that may go untouched the whole trip but if you need it you will be SO thankful to have them.

2. I also put a favorite drink in those water bottles you mentioned. I use thermos brand and keep it with me until we are literally taking off the ground and I encourage them to drink during the ascent.

3. A few Baby washcloths (for a minor spill, runny nose, mess on their mouth and hands)

4. Also take note that most airlines will only let you take a stroller to the gate if it’s an umbrella stroller.

For very strong and stubborn stains, soak in a mixture of ammonia and detergent.

There is definitely a reason for God giving us boys! The days are long but the years are SO short. But I wouldn’t trade a single moment of it!

Definitely! I can’t believe that we have to address these things at such a young age, but we really do. Middle school is such a confusing time for kids where they are exposed to a lot of things they have never heard of. I want to make sure that my boys know to come to us with their questions and prepare them for some of the situations they will be dealing with.
